Once home to a traditional gas fire with a marble surround a staple in 80’s living rooms, this space has been completely transformed into a sleek, bespoke media wall that brings the space into the 21st century.
Designed and handcrafted by House of Grain, this custom installation combines timeless craftsmanship with contemporary design. Finished in premium Dulux Trade paint, the media wall features a striking 72-inch electric fireplace, recessed TV, shaker-style storage cupboards and warm LED-lit display shelving, creating a beautiful focal point that’s as practical as it is stylish.
By replacing the outdated fireplace with a clean, built-in design, we’ve maximised both storage and visual impact while giving the room a completely fresh feel. Every detail has been carefully considered to create a seamless finish that looks like it’s always belonged.

Our clients wanted a feature that would not only showcase their television but also provide the perfect home for their vinyl record player and growing vinyl collection. Every shelf was custom made to fit their equipment perfectly, creating a seamless, built-in look while keeping everything easily accessible.
To complete the experience, we integrated their built-in speakers within the design, delivering impressive sound without compromising the clean lines of the cabinetry. Hidden storage keeps everyday items neatly tucked away, allowing the focus to remain on the beautiful craftsmanship and carefully considered details

Our clients wanted to transform their brand-new home and create a true WOW factor. The brief emphasized ample storage, sleek parallel lines, and to add a touch of flair, we incorporated Tongue and Groove detailing. Warm LED strip lighting was seamlessly integrated to enhance the overall ambiance.

We designed and built an integrated media wall that was considered, calm, and completely at home in the space. This wall has subtle dimmable spotlighting, streamlined seating, and discreet built‑in storage, all detailed with a minimalist approach and high‑quality finishes. Nothing is overworked and nothing feels added on with every line serving a purpose. The result is a media wall that sits effortlessly within the room, functional yet understated, as though it has always belonged there. We LOVE the inclusion of seating.

This design transforms a modern new‑build interior by introducing a sense of heritage and character that feels thoughtfully established. The media wall is carefully proportioned to soften clean architectural lines, incorporating bespoke built in storage that adds both function and visual balance. At its centre, we created a recessed faux fire place creates a natural focal point for a log burner, bringing warmth and atmosphere without overwhelming the space. Every element is designed to feel intentional and enduring, lending the room a quiet charm and a lived‑in quality that bridges the gap between contemporary living and traditional comfort.
